Way too may Gunners, Drakes, Dekes in the world. I'm more old school and would go with something more original. I'm also a big fan of one syllable if possible as long as it doesn't start with "S". So that it doesn't end up sounding Too much like "sit".

Yea I met a guy this weekend with a lab named duke..- so not gonna use duke....trigger most likely..... a guy on tiff said pickles... it had a good write up but it got deleted sin e it got out of hand with pickle got thrown in lol

Take the pup to a park with a bunch of kids, they come up with the best names. My kids named both our dogs.

Patriotic is cool. We had a dog named Master Chief, just like all the Master Chiefs I ever worked for he was a pain in the butt most of the time.
My parents have some Toulouse geese in their yard in Wyoming. Dad named the gander SGT MAJOR.

If you go with Trigger, how about instead using the original spelling Tryggur in his registered name. His call name could be Trygg or more likely "Triggs". That would give him a more preferred one syllable call name. The Norse/Swedish meaning for the name Trygg is... safe, secure, and reliable. Triggs is a popular Dog name with the Brits just like Trigger is on our side of the big lake.
