What part of Mason Co are you hunting? I believe it is off of Hwy 87, not quite sure. I consider myself very fortunate to even have an opportunity to be able to hunt with my girlfriend's family therefore I don't ask too many questions  Where were those deer in westcliff? Out by Deweese? I life in westcliff almost half the year!! Actually yes!! Every year we stay at a friends cabin just North of the outskirts of Westcliffe. It's beautiful country and there's a ton of wildlife running around. It actually took a few days for me to feel comfortable getting close to those Mullies. The first night we were sitting out making smores and out of no where about ten of them surrounded us. It felt like a stick up! Our lady friends got spooked and retreated back to the cabin. I'm not going to lie, I was a bit fearful as well. There were some big bucks that could inflict some serious damage. Anyway, I believe that there's no hunting in the area so the Mullies really have no need to fear people. The next few days of recurring encounters made for some great memories.
