Hard to say what is the BEST holster. its all a matter of personal preference. with that being said im quite partial to David Bullard's holsters. ive got several for different pistols and love em all. I even got one of his wallets and belts. They're all excellent quality and definitely worth the wait if not in stock.

I use a Brommeland Leather IWB for my Glock 19, Milt Sparks VM2 for my 1911 or a Comptac Minotaur for my Shield. They all serve a different purpose depending on the situation or how I am dressed.
I will say that the Brommeland is the most comfortable holster I have EVER worn, and that says a lot considering I use it with such a thick gun. I can't imagine how sweet it would be for a shield.

I just got a 'Professional' holster from N82tactical.com (Nate Squared Tactical) and so far I am loving it. I had never even heard of them until recently. So far I must say I'm very impressed. It looks to be very well made. It holds the gun very securely but is pretty easy to draw with the twist release. Most of all, it is incredibly comfortable. It has suede against your skin, with a layer of neoprene sandwiched between it and the leather side that the gun is against. Unlike a lot of other IWB holsters, it covers the entire grip so it doesn't cheese grate your back with aggressive grips. Even sitting in the car or in a chair I forget it's there sometimes. Even with the single belt clip, the suede seems to keep it from trying to move around and it doesn't print at all in the different shirts I've worn with it. Between this holster and the XDs, I think I've finally found an EDC combo that I really like. http://n82tactical.com/n82store/?page_id=1792

I have a 2 Crossbreeds (Xbreed), DMBullard, and Shepherd. The kydex/leather hybrids are best IMO. They are the easiest to draw from and reholster. They are also more comfortable due to the single layer of leather. The Bullard is a nice piece, but the double thickness of leather doesn't conform as well, and the holster opening collapses when the gun is drawn making it difficult to reholster, or even to holster after you put it on. The the Xbreed in horse hide is my favorite of the hybrid holsters. I set it to cant full forward. You can make more holes if you want to cant the holster more.
