Polaris all the way. Go to the Polaris website and you can see a head to head comparison between the two. Just go the Rangers and then find the other brand that you want to compare and it shows the specs. for both models.
I have been riding Polaris ATV's for years and wouldn't trade for anything else!!

Well we have 3 Polaris four wheelers and love them. I'm a big man and i'm afraid me and my dad won't be able to fit in the mule. I'm also worried about the power of the mule. I was a guide on a ranch in Bedias, Texas and my ranch manager had a trans mule and he didnt like it because of the room. I saw him at the gun show in Houston a couple of weeks ago and he got the new Ranger Crew and loves it.
Thanks for all of yalls input!

I love my Ranger, my only complaint is it isn't as quiet as I would like. I have added front and rear 4000 lb winches and a full size deep cycle aux battery on mine along with a bunch more lights since I took this photo.
Get a Ranger, you won't be sorry.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I looked at the Ranger before I bought my Prowler. I thought the Ranger was a much nicer UTV. The ONLY reason I decided to go with the Arctic Cat is because the Ranger is too wide. I didn't think I would be able to go places in the Ranger, that I could with the narrower Prowler.
I did a lot of research on the various UTV's prior to purchasing, and I honstly believe the Ranger is the better buy, if you don't mind the extra width.

We have a 550 Mule and a Ranger XP 700 on our exotic ranch in Franklin, TX.
Polaris = Much more power, better ride comfort, better 4-wheel drive system, drinks gas (700cc's EFI), somewhat noisy
Kaw Mule = Durable, bordering on indestructable, narrower for maneuvering thru deep wood trails, easy to work on, sips gas, fairly quiet, less expensive than Polaris
We like both vehicles and they serve independent purposes for getting things done around our place.
If you're gonna haul/tow stuff, I'd opt for the Polaris.
If you just need a simple utilitarian UTV to haul people and corn for feeders, get the Kaw Mule, esp the Trans. The ability to convert from two to four seats is nice on the Kaw Trans. Can't do that with the Polaris.

Guys,
Ended up going with the Trans Mule. I got a trans mule 4x4 with a lift kit and bigger tires and wheels for 9800. It ended up being 2000 less than what i could get a 2 seat ranger for. I took it out on the deer lease this weekend and it did great. Thanks for all the input.
