3 are bucks. Look to be spikes this year. There were actually 9 whitetail and 5 axis. On 18 acres LF.

Heck you could put a steep price on it and lease out in a heart beat. Then you would not have too many deer on it.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

I go over there sometimes in the afternoon just to see how close I can get the deer to come to me.There are a couple of going to be yearling spikes that will get within 10 ft. of me in the kubota. The Axis are pretty wild and won't come up until the feeder goes off. There are quite a few Axis in the last week or so. Greening up with the warm weather and they are venturing away from the river.

Cool pictures - I have the same thing on my ranch in Coryell county. Amazing what happens when you don't shoot everything that moves.

The hill country place we leased was way over cc and had way too many does on it. It was before I learned anything about density surveys or census counts, but from the changes that occured you can tell it was an improvement.
From when we started hunting the place a good doe dressed 50-55 lbs and a good buck 85. Near the end a good doe dressed 70-75 and bucks ranged from 105-115. We also saw alot better bucks and more bucks near the end and in the almost 20 years on the place we never saw a deer with more than 8pts till near the end the last two years I passed up several 10 pts.
It's hell eatin em live

Next October, the deer fairy will come in, scoop them up and you won't see them again till next February. :-) At least that was my luck this year
I'm seeing the same thing here around Nasa and U of H Clear Lake. During hunting season, they just disappeared. Now I'm seeing groups of 10 as I drive by Nasa and U of H Clear Lake
Thanks, Rich

No they will still be around. There are just too many deer in the area. Now if you are looking for a good buck you may have a problem.
