I got a e-mail notification that some mags I was looking for were in stock. Just like I figured they were limiting them to 2 per customer so I figured shipping charges would eat me alive and it wasnt worth ordering them. Just for fun I threw 2 of the mags in my cart along with 3 extra mag springs and checked the estimated shipping cost. It came out to just over $4. Had that been CTD they would have charged me $3 just for thier stupid handleing fee and then probably $14 for shipping based on what my last few orders from them cost to ship.

Oh........and the mags I ordered were still at pre-Sandy prices too. Good luck seeing that at CTD any time soon!

I wouldn't feel it if CTD went out of business. But I sure would if Midway did.

Threw away my CTD catalog when it showed up today without even opening it. Im done with them. Midway and Brownells have been good everytime I have ordered from them. Other companies I would personally recommend are KIDD for anything 10/22 related and SGammo for ammo when its in stock.

Very nice. I signed up 5 friends for ctd catalog. Figured might as well make them spend some money on printing and postage. Plus it's decent kindling for the fire pit.

I don't think CTD realizes how much they have damaged their name/reputation in the firearm world.

Your customer is your number 1 priority. When you chunk that value out the window, you've pretty much screwed yourself.

+1 Midway's pricing an customer service. CTD sucks balls!

Just for fun I went in to CTD in Mckinney today cuz I needed a good laugh. They have TONS AND TONS of ammo in just about all the popular calibers including 9mm, 40S&W, 38 Special, and over a pallet of 45ACP. One look at the prices and it was easy to see why its just sitting there. I saw 3 times more people walk out of there empty handed than those that actually bought something.

Oh.......and they have plenty of Bushmasters for $1999 while Cabelas right down the road also had plenty of Bushmasters for $799.

They just don't get it. Never thought I'd see this, but even Gander Mountain has far better pricing than CTD.

Yeah, I'm done with them, too. I ordered some .243 almost five weeks ago and it still isn't here. I know they are behind, but five weeks? I'm gonna email them and tell'em just refund it.

Now if could just get Cabela's to stop sending catalogs, I'll be in good shape. They even sent me and ice fishing one--- really?

Plus its ticking the mail lady off.

I would hate for MIDWAY to go out of business also. It is one of two places that I can go and pick up my orders (Live 7 miles from MIDWAY and 35 miles from GRAF & SONS). Saves a butt load on shipping costs.

Yeah, I had some Midway 6.8 mags backordered on a couple of different invoices.
They actually let be purchase 2 on each of the 2 backorders and then two more for a total of 6, charged only 4.55 shipping and the order shipped that evening.

Gotta love Midway!
Well, except waiting for a bulk powder order for me and a couple of buddies - they said it would take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to ship and it's been a month.
But, I also understand how crazy things are right now!

Midway, Brownells.

Brownells = website plainly states they are swamped and behind on shipping.
I called Brownells on Wednesday morning early to verify the that the Remington action slide on the website was really in stock because i really really needed one with favorite 1100 down. Sweet person at Brownells said, yes but only one. She took my order etc.

I asked after the order was placed if she had any idea about shipping. I prefaced the question with I know ya'll are swamped and I good with whatever answer you give me. She advised me she thought it would be a couple of days even on in stock. I told her no problem I would shoot a different gun at the club meet this weekend.

She called me back as little later, advised she had asked for a little help from shipping, and the part would ship same day. Today is Friday, I called on Wednesday morning and part is was here at 11:00 a.m and the gun is ready to run.

So here's another one for Brownells.

Brownells is great too. I usually deal with Midway but Brownells has always been top notch for me as well.
