I was thinking about booking a ram hunt for me and 2 buddies. Anyone been there and have any input good or bad?
On a side note can you eat ram?

Good place The rams they have are trophy rams and they taste horrible IMO.

I have been there several times and always had tons of fun. There are always lots of nice rams(24-28 inches) and usually a couple that will go 28 plus. For the price the quality of animals can't be beat. I have shot 3 rams there and they were 29, 33, and 36 inches long.

I went a couple weeks ago with a buddy. I took a nice ram on my second sit. Pretty sure my ugly mug and ram are still the most recent pic on their facebook page. They have plenty of rams as well as other animals(sika, blackbuck, aoudad). Buddy shot an aoudad, but we didnt recover. I stayed out after i shot my ram to see if any pigs would come in. Didnt see any, and came in about an hour later and Ben had my ram trophy caped and in the cooler.
Ben is a really nice guy and his buddy that was there was good dude too, cant remember his name off the top of my head.
We stayed in fairfield at the days inn and it was about a 7 minute trip to the ranch.
We would probably take a rv or camper next time. There isnt much of a camp without your own rv/camper. He has a fire pit and a grill.
Had probably one of the best steak dinners in fairfield at lone star.
We are planning to go back this fall for a sika buck.

If I had the money I'd be there at least a couple weekends a month. Fun times. Ben is a man of his word and he and Ryan work hard to take care of you.
