My buddy Mick is the Texas sales rep for Hoyt. He put me on the new Spyder 30. What do you guys think about them? I'm new to the bow hunting scene so I'm kind if learning as I go.

As your buddy probably told you all ready Hoyt makes Top Of The Line bows. Saying that,I own a '11 model CRX35 and an '03 Hoyt MagnaTec. My 35 is a sweet shooting bow, quiet, fast and accurate. 3 things necessary to be a successful bow hunter. The Spyder would've really help me out in the Ground blind this year because of the 30" ATA(overall length or height) thinking seriously bout adding The Spyder 30 to my collection because one thing I know for sure Hoyt makes the BEST BOWS hands down. Good Luck.

Hey if you have the money and that's your thing, do it. I wasn't being negative. I may think you're crazy but the next guy down the line will think I am too or for another reason. It's yours, it's America, have fun and shoot well. Maybe we'll see you in the woods! But by the way, we need pics.

Lol nah. Actually the cheapest place I found. You gotta remember I went from not bow hunting to ready to when I left the store. Besides I've never seen an armored car following a hurst. wink

Well I know the Carbon element is what, $1500 bare bow. Put a $250 sight, $150 rest, $130 quiver, couple dozen arrows at $150 each, release and target and you've spent a lot quick. Maybe he bought a range finder and other stuff as well. To just jump in, and on the high end at that, is an expensive thing.
