Just got their catalog in the mail today (it's good for a chuckle): Colt Factory AR-15 Magazine. 30rd. USGI Issue. Anodized Aluminum. Green Follower. MAG068 $99.97. I guess if it's a 30 rd. mag of any type, they've appreciated in value faster than gold as long as they come from there. It's gonna be interesting to see what happens later this year.

Midway and Brownell's are unlikely to try to price gouge. They want your business. Once the backorders are filled, the mags will be available again BUT you'll have to wait and you'll be limited in the # you can get. Mag manufacturing capacity is pretty large, perhaps 10K per day, so you see the demand is off the wall. You're looking at 6 months if not more till things settle out. On a good note PMAG no longer has a military contract so that production will go into the civilian market.

I talked with my MagPul rep, they know about CTD and have been getting feedback on them. AND no they don't have a military contract, but they had a Govt. contract for 40,000. That was filled last week. He told me Midway and Brownells have over 5,000 each backordered. We talked business, thinking things will get back on track within 2-3 months...maybe.

I normally enjoy getting the CTD catalog in the mail. Just got the new one a couple of days ago. It went in the trash. I'm done with CTD.

I used to do all my business with CTD but won't do any more in the future due there gouging. It's sad that they went that direction.
