But why be wasteful? Plenty of people could use the meat.
I don't see a problem with it though but I personally would never do it.

I don't see a problem with it though but I personally would never do it. I have tried to give it away before 9 out of 10 people want it quartered and on ice, the tenth guy wants it processed. Also, when you are killing ten a week, cleaning all of them can be pretty tedious.

not so much with leavin'em lay, but "shootin'em in the guts" will get me angered.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

I'll shoot them and dump them. If somebody wants it fine with me but the most ill do is gut it
Im not a "shoot in the guts guy" though
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Anyone ever sprayed a roach and watched them run around, flip over, kick and spin and die eventually?

I have only eaten 3 hogs out of the last 400 or so I have killed. A few went to other people that wanted them but most fed the other critters.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

not so much with leavin'em lay, but "shootin'em in the guts" will get me angered. In cases where the hog population is abundant the old gut shot is the best! Why? Hogs will eat other hogs especially if they are wounded and bleeding. Todays feral hogs could possibly be diseased and dangerous for human consumption. We usually have our ranch flown with helicopter for hogs coyotes and cats.

It's legal. Therefore I have no problem with someone doing it. I personally don't kill things if I am not going to eat them. But that's my personal choice.

If I don't need one I don't shoot it. If I make arrangements to give one away I will kill and quarter for whoever needs it. Quartering is very easy and doesn't take long and is a weak excuse to not give them away. Anybody should be able to quarter a hog in 10-15 minutes and that amount of time is not much if its giving things to people they need or want. I wish for everyone shot in the guts to run off and die ten would replace it. Processors who are in the hunters for the hungry program will take quartered hogs too so I give them to the processor who donates their time and it eventually ends up at crisis centers and soup kitchens. I don't do it to feel better about myself I do it because I want to hunt and respect the hunt and the game enough to make use of it.

I take some and leave the rest. Apparently some of you folks have have never been close up and down wind to a old boar hog. There are some things that when you smell it, you ain't going to eat it!

I trapped for a job for several winters I think I've smelled as bad a hog as there are and cleaned em and they all smell the same on the inside. Haven't found one yet I couldnt make taste good. It's just easier to say they stink than clean em.

I will kill everyone I see, if it's small and I'm out of sausage I'll clean it. If I've got meat in the freezer, I don't even go look at it, unless I have to drag it out of a wheat field ect...

We usually have our ranch flown with helicopter for hogs coyotes and cats. So how does it make it best that the hog you gut shot dies a horrible death and then feeds the hogs you consider a pest? As opposed to making a good kill shot and eating or dragging them off? Dumbest post ive read in a while.
