SO... You know of someone who is busting the hunting laws, and doing it in the open. Do YOU report the guy, or do you turn your head and keep your mouth shut??? Let's hear your personal opinions... and be truthful!

If it's a friend and I can't turn them from their ways, I make the call. On someone I don't know it's not even a question.

Those who wouldn't turn them in will be the first crying when they get robbed or hit by some a-hole who drives off. It's just like the people who see an assault but don't want to get involved. TURN THEM IN!!!! Everybody can do easy, be a man and do right.

Live right. Do right. Demand the same in others.
Screw off. Lie and cheat. Have no regard for the actions of others.

I got a guy three weeks ago on a federal game violation. Possesion of a bird of prey. He turned states evidence on narcotics and the charges are hanging over his head. If he doesnt produce info, he gets charged.

My prediction is he will be in a state prison by april.

It's funny how many UIBA's come out of the wood-work. A few months ago, I turned a fella in and I was called chicken chit. The reason so many were against my choice was I was accused of not "confronting" the violator when I, in fact, did talk to the violator and he had no intention of righting his wrong.

And I'd do it again.

Depends on what they did....

So from what most of yall are telling me, you would report your brother if he accidentally shot one dove over the limit?

Sure sound like a bunch of A-hole brothers.

Or what if your brother shot a deer that was 12 and 3/4 inches? Gonna report him?

How about he shoots one of those mexican doves thinking it was a mourning? Fine his [censored]... go for it.

What if he forgot his license that day? You gonna text the game warden while you sit there and hunt next to him?

Some of yall "report them no matter what" people crack me up.

I think you consider the severity of his actions vs the severity of the consequences. Does the punishment fit the crime? Hard to say without having a clue what he's doing. Basically a personal judgement call. Either way, you'll probably ruin any relationship with the guy for turning him in but the law is law and its the right thing.

So true. I wonder if they turn themselves in when they make a mistake. I seriously doubt it. But then again, they probably never make mistakes.
