It was. Like I said, never had to deal with hogs before until this season. Only other place I had hunted that had a sizeable hog population was my buddy's ranch in Blanco Co. and we don't hunt or even have feeders down there. All spot and stalk or high rack hunting from the truck.

Yeah those hogs can really wreck a feeder.

What Gen is it?

We bought it. It's only a first gen, but we played with it last night and the range and clarity is quite impressive. This was the highest-rated 1st gen we could find, and was well within out budget. 200 bucks a piece between 3 friends/hunting partners. Also came with an IR illuminator, not pictured here. This will be going on my buddy's spare m4 upper in 556/223 for a dedicated NV upper.

To be honest, I haven't been back to that property since posting this...yet.

Been too tied up with work, plus my truck took a dive (2012 f150 fx4 ecoboost) the other day, and they have me a 2wd for the time being. I often have to put my truck in 4wd to get up outa the creek bed, and the creek bed is between the road and camp. So unfortunately, he still roams free unless my neighbors took him out.
