So the question is how far would a mother travel with about 7 babies? They keep coming up to my feeder at night and scaring away the deer..

How far? They'll travel far for sure. Not sure I understand your question.

Sorry- I mean I saw them on the camera friday night and we were on our land all day saturday and came back sunday and they were on the camera from saturday night. I am not sure if they bunker down close by or travel a few miles and then come back at night..

If there is good cover near the feed I bet they're close.

The babies can keep up with momma from the get. If she needs to go cross-country, she will not slow down and they will stay right behind her.

That said, they probably aren't far. Are there any places on your property that are just so muddy, thorny or overgrown that you can't get to 'em on foot or just wouldn't want to? That's probably where they are. You may have gone past them several times and not known it.

At the end of duck season I scouted a part of the slough on my property that had filled and I jumped a sow with about about 8 stripers and a couple of shoats. They waited until I was less than five yards away and bolted. The cover was light and I never would have guessed that it could be harboring pigs, but they came out of it like a clowncar at the circus. I had my shotgun slung across my back instead of over my shoulder and stood their cursing myself for a few minutes after watching them sprint down a trail through a thicket.

They seem to come to the sound of corn being slung fairly well...
