I was not impressed. It's fine if the animal is right under the feeder. If not it makes it tough. I will keep looking.

I've had really good luck with kill lights on my feeders.

Did you have a gun mounted or bow mounted light as well?

I have a light on my gun for shooting and just use a motion sensor light on the feeder to let me know when they show up.

Kill lights have their place, but they really do have some limitations. Plus it can get really boring saring at a single small illuminated spot for hours at a time. If you are not really vigilant, animals can come in, eat, and leave the cone of light very quickly, grazing around the area not illuminated, and you won't know it.
I would not want to rely solely on a kill light for my source of illumination. They are helpful for what they are, but definitely limited.

My first experience with a feeder light was REALLY exciting, but the excitement faded pretty quickly. I've settled on getting out of the blind with a gen1 scope and sneaking up on 'em when a pattern emerges on my game cameras.

Their XLR250 flashlights are very very impressive with green or red lights.
I have a green kill light and it's ok. I think you could probably go to a hardware store and rig up a bunch of green or red motion sensor lights to really brighten up the place.

I have hunted with mine and while bowhunting it's awesome because you're so close. Back off to 75 yds plus and it gets way harder to see.

He's talking about a feeder light, hogs were spookie and wouldn't come in, I guess it's like anything else, they have to get use to them.

I'm more concerned with the small area it lit up. A small circle directly under the feeder don't cut it when your feeder broadcasts corn in a 20, 30 or even 50 foot circle.

It would make a great porta-potty light.

For mounted lights on ground you could use the Hoginator17 motion detection light. Some people buy multiple to light up larger area.
On gun mount, I use the STIK N SHOOT magnetic green light.

Have one i bought along time ago also and same results... i ended up putting it in thick woods and it lights up a little more since its so dark in there

It would make a great porta-potty light. I have a white tent light I bought at Walmart we use for that and it looks real similar.

I have 2 of them and love them. I made risers out of pvc and set them on my t posts around my feeder pen. They sit about 10' off the ground and I can easily see a 40' diameter from my stand at 100 yds with a good scope. My bow stand is 17 yds from the feeder and I can see perfectly at night from that distance will 1 kill light. Just get creative and play with them a little. They are what they are. Just another reason to go outside and play!
I carry a gun because a cop is to heavy!
