I live in Alvin and have been wanting togo hog hunting just no where to go. I live on 6 acres and have never seen hogs around but was wondering if it's possible to attract them in. I live real close to a rice canal and I'm pretty sure there are a decent amount of hogs in the area. If you bait how far out will it be effective?

I know guys who kill hogs daily in the rice fields outside of Alvin.

I worked at rice tec last season and they denied a guy to go hunt on the property. How did they get permission?

This guy actually owns these rice fields personally.

Try some soured corn on your property. The smell might bring em in.

Sour corn and throw a couple of watermelons to rot. The smell should travel.

I bought a little 5 gallon bucket, pour half a bag of corn into and add a few beers and some water and let it sit for at least three days. Never lasts more than two days.

Really, though, pigs will eat anything. Like catfish, the stinkier the better.

Well I figured they would eat anything just wondering if you can attract them to a place you have never seen them.

I'm going to throw out a mixture of sour corn and old fruit and see what happens....if no hogs I'm sure I'll get a coon or some other critter
