Has anyone had success hunting out there, and where did you find a place to stay?

Has anyone ever stayed at the Best Western in New Waverly, TX?
or is there some place better to stay.
I'm taking 3 guys that have never hunted and want to hunt hogs.

I've probably spent over 100 hours hunting in the SHNF. Still have yet to see a pig. That said, one of my hunting partners has seen them on quite a few occasions, as well as bobcat, fox, and coyotes.

So since you never saw a hog on SHNF is there any other public land that you have saw hogs?
