I fired my shotgun and then threw a clay target in the air and hit the bullets.
They only proof I have is a crayon drawing I made of the event. I only had a purple crayon though. Far and away the best shot I've ever made was a total joke. Lizard jumps out onto a tree right after I had loaded my new Beretta 9mm for the first time. With my buddy standing there, I quick-drew from the holster and drilled the little sucker right in the head from about 30 feet.
Complete accident, couldn't do it again if I tried 1000 times. Friend was floored at how awesome a shot I already was. And then I missed a beer can 15 times in a row and he came back to reality. I'm still laughing

The best shot I've ever seen made was on a walking turkey. It was shot at exactly 640 yards with an Armalite AR-10T in 308 with a 175 SMK. Josh with North Texas Rifle Precision shot it off the hood of his Jeep. First round hit and barrel rolled it. He gave it a slight lead on the walking bird and smoked it. I have pictures somewhere. The next coolest shot I've seen/done was the doe on the left in the pic below. I shot the first at 228 yards, then the next at a lasered 604 yards. A group of does came out at 590 yards and I got set up on the rifle. When I was ready, I lasered the big one at 604, and sent the round. I recovered from recoil to watch the 190 SMK hit exactly where I was aiming. She ran ~30 yards, and looked back and fell over like a drunken sailor. Rifle was a TRG 42 in 300 Win Mag with a 190 SMK doing about 3K fps and Nightforce 5.5-22x56 NP-R2 MOA scope. Come-up was exactly 11 MOA, in zero wind. Unfortunitly, Josh still has me beat by 36 yards for the longest confirmed kill.

When I was like 17 it snowed and I had fed the horses that mornin. I put a little pile of grain out on the snow to see what I could get to come eat it. Bout an hour later I checked on it and there was a bunch of sparrows goin to town on it, all bunched up real tight. All I had at the time a single shot .22, I just aimed into the pile of birds and killed 4 birds with one .22 shot! But I aint got pics

Best shots that I have ever witnessed were by a guy who was meatshooter for the place out of Ingram that used to harvest exotics for the venison market around 1992 or 93. I watched him take his first deer that day with a head shot in a 30+mph cross wind at an axis spike at 290 yrds or so. He did not use a rangefinder that day and only guessed the ranges. There was GW there that day riding with us and he said he had video of him make a head shot from another time that they later marked the yardage on at 590 yds in a stiff crosswind. That is all he did was headshoot for the maximum carcass weights. He usually shot 3-4 or more days per week when harvesting animals. When killing axis deer he shot enough to make a full ton of dressed weight carcasses. So it was around 30 hd or so. Blackbuck would be more. The GW would show up since he was using a .308 with silencer on it to check his permit and just watch him shoot. His custom rifle weighed 36 or 38 lbs with scope if I remember right. He hated close range shots he said. Most of his shots were from inside the truck off the passenger side window. He would shoot sometimes off the hood if they could not get the truck turned for him or deer ran across the road. He shot blackbuck, axis, fallow, sika and nilgai all for the venison market. He said he had killed over 20,000 hd at the time I met him. This guy was the best shot I had ever seen.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Just looking to start an interesting thread.
Who has made the best/coolest shot?
Wether its an arrow riccochet off the ground and dropped an elk , or a hog spooked and you head shotted it on the run,
Must have photo conformation. And give a little back ground I've got a couple that I've made and all I'll say is I was trying to hit the. Shot a Blue Quail on the rise with my old K-22 S&W 22, Hit a running Jackrabbit in the head at about 90 yards with my old model 19 S&W 357 mag.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Here's mine, maybe not the best shot but maybe the only guy ever done it at the time. Everybody knows Sonic has that pellet ice well I was done with my route 44 and cruising down the road when a big yellow grasshopper comes through the window and lands on the dash. I told my buddy I could hit it with the ice out of the straw so the hopper is in the far corner of the dash passenger side and I'm driving(safe I know) and I nailed in the head. Had a pic somewhere but that was my high school days so who knows where it went. That little episode did spark a game we call Grasshopper Safari and still today will pull over and tell my kid catch a hopper we are going to Sonic.

Sorry- the rifle was on the hood of his Jeep! I'm glad he was there to witness it because no one would have believed it. I even told him I was going to try not to mess the breast up. I placed the round at the base of the neck and above the breast. The andrenaline dump from that shot instantly cured us of our hangovers, lol.

I made a great shot in 1968. My cousin and I were deer hunting...Driving in my truck, I noticed a covey of quail bunched up in a ball...I took out my marlin 22 auto rifle, going to skillet shoot them... As I jerked the 22 rifle from the seat, it went off...Shot my right foot... Got out of the trk, pulled off my boot and what did I find ? One less toe, little toe on my right foot was gone... We had no first aid kit, but we did have a bottle of Cherry Brandy, that we had been sippin on...1 clean sock, wrapped around end of foot, soaked in Cherry Brandy.. 3 hr drive to the hospital, and ER doc cleaned my foot up, gave me some meds(Pain Pills, Shots for infection) It took about 2 weeks for the swelling to go down, enough to put a boot back on...Yea, stupid stuff kids do...I lived thru it, and I am for sure safer with a firearm now... My best Shot !!! need proof of missing toe. X2, let's see the missing piggy

When I was a 5 year old boy my grandmother and grandfather gave me a daisy red ryder BB gun for my birthday. Growing up in the country I shot that gun every day and got really good with it. Anyways.. I would line matchsticks on the fence and pace off 20 steps and light each one with a BB. I would also go down to the pond to shoot dragonflies out of the air with a BB. Last year my son and I were down at the deer lease. He and I were walking around with his BB gun. I told him about when I was a kid and shooting the dragonflies out of the air and for him to try. He told there is no way I could shoot like that. He hands me his gun and off we go looking for a dragonfly. We find one I take aim and miss my son says “told you so” I replied back to him that was a practice shot. I proceeded to nail the next three we encountered with three shots. He’s a believer now!!!

did you also have a really hot girlfriend that lived out of state when you were growing up?
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

I was fishing in a big creek on day with a buddy of mine. He had a Browning Buckmark pistol with him shooting into the water at sticks and such. He popped off and said I bet I can hit that roadrunner your fishing with if you pulled it on top of the water. OK. I burned that sucker in as fast as I could reel. He fired, I felt a bump. I pulled the roadrunner in and he hit it directly in the head. It flattened the head and didn't even cut my line. I gave him the bait.

Some guy named Chitaki or something. I hear he's the best. Think it was his uncle, at night, on video...might have been a few shots ...don't think it will be posted as proof though LOL I think I posted that video. The Invincible Fellow Deer. LOL My personal best would have to be my only buck. Walking the path. Sat down for a break. Hear rustling. Right outside the blind btw. So I just sit there, gun ready, but laid towards the side, and I look into the thick stuff behind the blind....BAM! Buck walking. Somehow, my rifle is shouldered perfectly, scope/sight picture is perfect, safety comes off when all these things are happening. CLICK! Alert in scope so I can tell that he makes ARs. Shoulder shot, DRT. Look at my sig The oryx was also a good shot I guess. Moving spine shot.

A couple buddies and myself were down at the creek about 20+ yrs ago drinking longneck Coors and shooting flying bottles w/ shotguns. Somewhere towards the end of the case I ran out of shells and had to get my 22 out of the truck. My buddy chunked one and I shot it in the air on the 1st attempt. You talking bout some half lit countryboys laughing their aces off. I had to stop rite there while I was ahead.
All ready

I was shooting at bird's with a bb gun out of my upstair's bedroom window, when I looked down at my dad's garden and for what reason I don't no to this day took aim at the base of my dad's basil plant and sqeezed off HOLY CHIT it feel over, That was hard to explain and he didn't believe any of my lie's cause he found the bb right there in the dirt. That was maybe 30 yrd's and my best shoot ever I was 12 or 13 I'm 42 now and remember the fear that came over me when that plant dropped like it was yesterday. P.S. It was the only basil plant he planted that year.

360 yards off th e hood of my truck. Had three elk hunters in the truck, coyote was on the run and they couldn't get to their guns fast enough. First time I've ever scoped myself too.
