Zion kennels. STAY AWAY from Tim slattery. Ask around and EVERy trainer in the state will tell you that. Look at Angie Becker or JC strange.

I'm taking my pup to Zion in March. Eddie seems like a great guy and trained my friends MH who spoke very highly of him.

Zion Kennels. Eddie is great. Results speak for themselves. Check entry express and compare the trainers and how they are doing with the dogs they run at the hunt tests.

A lot of names have been thrown out for you. The best thing I can recommend is go out and meet the individual trainers and tour their facility along with watching them train.
Ask lots of questions!! Make sure their style of training, the way they conduct business, and their personality is one you can be comfortable with.
Good luck!!
Angie

i used eddie at zion kennels and he did a excellent job on my 6 month old pup. My pup had his Junior title by 11 months and will be going back after hunting season to get finished and go for his master title. If you have any questions about the experience with zion kennels pm me

Just FYI, I would strongly advise you to stay away from Marks a Lot.

So, how about Marks A Lot Kennels? Anyone have experience with them? Everyone has their own opinions, but to answer your question, Yes I do have experience with Dan. I had him and a guy that worked for him named Terry train my black lab back several years ago. I drove to 3 or 4 different places around Dallas and looked before I made my final decision and I strongly suggest you do the same. Don't just go by what someone says on here. Go look for yourself! Are the kennels clean? Do their dogs actually pass when they go to trials? How long have they been doing it? I will tell you I was very impressed with Marks-A-Lot. My dog Molly had torn up her pads pretty bad on the kennel b/c she was not used to being outside in one. Terry ended up bringing her in the house and she actually slept in his bed for the first 6 months. I was out there every weekend and it was a blast to help out. Dan really encourages the owners to come out and help throw marks with their dogs on the weekends.( at least he did when I was there) It's super fun and a great way for him to teach you how and when to make corrections with your dog. I ended up having her go back for an additional 3 months to work more on blinds about a year later and was very impressed. I would def go check out his facility and give him a look before you made a decision. That way you feel good with your choice whoever it is. here is his website... www.marksalot.com

I paid for 5 months of training and got back a dog that wasn't force fetched, didn't know sit, here, heel and was afraid of the water. Called Dan to talk about it and he put his girlfriend on the phone mid conversation.
