I'm running low on .223 and wanted to see if anybody has had any luck placing an online back order and waiting to get them. I'm not being a ammo hording nut...just running low on my pig rounds. Btw, I'm looking for Remington Accutip. Thanks.

I havent seen any of the bigger online stores taking back orders on 223 ammo. The reason for that is because they really dont know when the orders will show up and what the price will be when it does. There is a shortage of raw materials and componets right now even for some of the largest ammo makers. That translates to higher prices and unknown delivery dates for everyone.

I'd skip the backorder, and explore your options for a different caliber piggy popper.

The ammo stores are at the mercy of ammo manufactures to get them the ammo. Some prices have been going up and with the orders currently on the books for them they are cranking out all the ammo they can with the materials available to them.

I was at the gunshow this afternoon and Luckyammo had over 50 cases of 5.56 green tip for $1,200 a box.

I'm lucky enough that I had bought a few cases of 556 before the Horders went nuts... I REFUSE to pay foolishly high prices to some Horder that only bought their supply to try to rob the real enthusiasts...
But even though I have my own supply, I still switched to 300aac, and 22-250...

ordered backorder 4 times--sportsman guide,,,cabela's... no luck with others on this like fishing- put it out there- it might show up---scored a bunch doin this---got 3000 here got 600 backordered
