Is anyone doing any good in that area? I get to hunt a private lake on the 26th and im just curious!

waste of time asking- I would try to call neighbor/friend in area to scout for u day or 2 before

Tried. We dont know anyone out there and the only guy that duck hunts down there isnt responding to emails or phone calls. I guess we will have to wing it.

I'm seeing more birds in flooded fields than on lakes right now. I'm north of Tyler, so not quite Canton, but the water has spread them out.

No doubt about the AR crap, just damn shame hunters don't have self control and knowledge

Best advice is to scout the lake you are hunting. Just because others are not seeing ducks doesn't mean your spot won't have ducks.

I hunt between Mabank and Canton also and up until last week wasnt saeeing much. The last week I have been seeing more birds and have had some good hunts. Good Luck

I hunt north of canton and we have a bunch of big ducks coming in the past week. Also go my first hooded merganser.
