But that's ridiculous! A hammer is just a tool! Only a whackjob would use a hammer to kill or injure somebody! Why should we take hammers away from law abiding citizens who use them responsibly every day?

"But if we can save even one person from being hurt or killed with a hammer we've done our job"! That's why me must take hammers off the streets and make it harder for people to obtain them...

Then the only way to drive a nail would be with a nail gun. Oooops I said gun! Now we've come full circle in only 3 steps, gun-hammer-gun.
Since we're screwed we'll just have to only use screws to fasten wood together.

instead of an outright ban maybe an oz. restriction on the hammer heads and a length restriction. maybe material handles are made from must have x amount of flexability . and we need to register all hammers big ,med, and small. and use a "ahl" [censored] salt hammer licenser for transfer

If you strip away all of the false nomenclature and jargon being thrown around, this is actually a good way to look at it. All we are doing is replacing one tool (AR) with another (hammer). The argument sounds absolutely ridiculous when talking about a hammer, but it makes perfect sense to the libs when talking about an AR.

They will have to pry my hammer out of my cold dead hands
We need to limit the size of hammers no one needs those heavy hammers they have no sporting purpose especially the sledgehammer their only task is to smash we won't even talk about the jack hammer they are fully automatic

Dallas news just showed a video of a guy beating a clerk in a robbery with a HAMMER. We need to get these regestered soon.

Since our hammer rights are fixing to be fringed upon I guess we better start stocking up. I have a feeling 2-2/3 and 3-0/8 inch framing nails will be hard to come by in the near future..

I don't own any hammers, I sold all my hammers except the one I lost in that unfortunate boating accident.

maybe we should offer up our 2 lb. drilling hammers in hope that we'll get to keep the framing hammers. we have to give up something or we'll look like a bunch of hammer loveing nut jobs . what's so wrong with compromise to avoid an all out ban?

Why should we take hammers away from law abiding citizens who use them responsibly every day? Because we can't think for ourselves so our government has to do all the thinking for us. Gee whiz.

I just bought all the tool belts at Home Depot. I'll be selling them on toolbroker.com for $200 each.
