there are lots of hogs rite now on a piece of grasslands in alvord

I hunted at hunter creek ranch and recommend it.

I agree LBJ has more hog sign than I have ever seen there. Cannot use a rifle. Caddo has had hogs for a long time but I have not been there in a couple years.
If you want to go southeast several places but 4 hour drive so you want to have more time.

I too recommend Hunters creek ranch just outside Mt Vernon, Tx..I just returned from there on friday. 6 of us from Nebraska headed down there for a 3 day hunt. We brought back 26 hogs and lost 1 due to poor shot placement. Lots of good quality hogs, most of them running from 120-150 lbs.some bigger and some smaller.

Bob and Doreen run a GREAT ranch. Bob is very friendly and is always around to help you with anything you need. This was our 2nd trip down there and Our group really enjoyed the DIY aspect of the ranch...but if you would like..bob and Shanon are there to assist you. Doreen is an awesome cook. 3 delicious meals a day (homemade desert included). Shanon (sp?) was there every day to help us get on hogs and was always there to help us quarter out all our hogs so we could get back to the beer! Ha

This place is FIRST CLASS! We are already booked for next year! And talking with Bob, it sounds like they will be "growing". They hope be adding another section (280 acres) down the road from the current ranch. That will really help with bigger crowds!

Really? Does it have to be private land owned by you? Or would being on a lease be considered private land?
