I am considering buying a TC Encore in the coming months, but I wanted to get a little feedback about them. What is their accuracy like, and are there any quirks that I should know about ahead of time? I am a Rem 700 fan but thought that this would be a good excuse to get a rifle capable of different calibers from 243 to .50 cal BP.

Thanks guys.

Have one with 22-250 and 50ML barrel. Accuracy with the 22-250 is around MOA with about anything I have tried some 1.25 while others rounds 3/4. Best group I have shot from it is just over 1/2 inch at 100 yards.

With the ML barrel and open sights it is good enough for hogs and deer to 100 yards with me shooting but not really a good test for accuracy though. I am sure it would improve a lot if I scoped it.

I had one and tried to like it. it is easy to handle and light weight. was accurate for the most part. i sold it as my oldest coulnt get used to the trigger vs a bolt gun. have to be a little steadier with a hammer drop. its a handy little rifle though. i liked the standard 24in barrels to keep it short. had a bergara? barrel in 243 that was accurate.

Accurate no doubt but the right trigger job would help. The 8.5lb pull on mine is bad as is the amount of take up.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

I have one in 25-06. This year alone three bucks and 2 big hogs. No telling how many does next weekend. Its the gun I loan out the most.

Accuracy is good. Not as good as a few of my remmy's but Its pretty regularly moa though.

I highly advise getting a custom made barrel like eabco or mgm.

I love it do to overall length and safety factor

One of the best things you can do is add a small washer in the forearm attachment screws which basically floats the forearm.

I have 2. Both in 7mm-08. Trigger jobs are a must. Both shoot MOA if I'm doing my job. My wife shoots a rifle with 24" barrel and a Zeiss Conquest scope, and she likes it as well or maybe better than her Rem.700. Mine is a 15" barrel pistol in 7mm-08 and it shoots better than I can shoot it.
