Howdy all ! I am in a spot where I need some advice on powder. I have Accurate 4064 , IMR 4198 , and reloader 7 . I am wanting to reload my .308 and can't find any data for the accurate and IMR for 308 and the reloader 7 only goes up to 125 grain bullets. If anyone has a receipe for remington core loct 165 gr pointed soft points on any of these I would sure appreciate it.

My Siera reloading manual list Reloader 7 @ 31.8-34.0gr with 165gr SPT bullet. At max load this powder only yields 2500 fps.

Take a look on the Hodgdon website. Their reloading data will show information for both Hodgdon and IMR powders, and numerous weights of bullets.

I dont load 308win but after looking at some burn rate charts it appears that re-7 and IMR4198 Burn Rates are probably too fast to be effective with the 165 grain bullets in this caliber. Imsure that some 308 users will be along to assist you.

Go to Accurate Powders website and they will have data for 165gr Bullets Accurate 4064 I would think. If not use 168gr bullet data you will be fine. I stand corrected they do not. If you use Varget data(they are very close) you will be fine as well just start at the minimum charge and work up.
