I don't think anyone can predict where this will head.

Can turn into a nightmare and it can work out great. Have seen a few instances where the landowner really gets to know his hunters and appreciates the fact they are taking care of the property.

Landowner I'm currently leasing from said he was contacted by city hunters and offered more money. According to him he was reluctant because he didn't know how they would turn out, but said he knows we will take care of his place.

I've already told him if he is offered more money, and its money he's interested in, he might as well take it right there, cause I'm not paying a dime more. So far he said he won't go up on us because he likes having us out there.

If he's already expressed an interest in hunting out there, I don't care what he tells you, you can bet he will be hunting when you're not out there.

Had this happen once. Went from "no big deal" to they were hunting all our blinds leaving cigarette butts and booze bottles in them.

I'd say the landowner separate himself off a piece of his property and stick to it. I had a landowner letting people hunt right in the middle of a old lease we had in mason county! We were not happy and did not return the following year. Lock your stands and check your cameras. Good luck!

That's how it started out on our place. Had a little 30 or 40 acre corner. Then doubled the size of the spot. Then from there his drunk buddies just showed up whenever they wanted and hunted where they wanted. I'm sure with the right land owner it would work. There are a lot of decent people out there.
