I thought you were summoning Guy "the cocksman" with the title of this thread  That is a good'un! However, it troubles me that this could be the start to the Silvercreek gadwall thinning 2013. You and Andrew changed the gadwall flight pattern with y'all's massacres of 2012. I have about come to the conclusion I may never see another one

I've noticed that a lot of the "purple" or dark headed gads also have that black throat patch. Great bird!
