Back in the 70's we took some old XX75's that were to bent to shoot and filled them with black powder inverted 22 LR's that had the bullet out and glue them into the insert. Very intersting but not reusable!
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

That's pretty cool until I clip a limb and the arrow flies off and hits where I don't want it too. That would useful and I can see some cool applications for it but does it destroy the arrow?

I don't think it hurts the arrow, bang sticks don't hurt your arm when you shoot it so it should be fine.

That is a neat invention. I have questions about the range of it and how easy it would be to set up for that and sighting in with it. I suppose they have a practice head to use and I wonder how far you can actually shoot and keep the accuracy with it.
It looks to me like this is not legal for game animals in Texas. Hogs and exotics may be different but I would have to ask a game warden.
From the TPWD website:
Archery and Crossbows
Projectiles (Arrows and Crossbow Bolts):
While hunting game animals and game birds, a projectile may not be poisoned, drugged, or explosive. When used to hunt turkey and all game animals other than squirrels, a projectile must be equipped with a broadhead hunting point that is at least 7/8-inch in width (upon impact) and has a minimum of two cutting edges. A mechanical broadhead must begin to open upon impact and, when open, must be a minimum of 7/8-inch in width. An archer may have arrows/bolts with field, target, or judo points in the quiver with the broadhead hunting points.

I would say it's definitely not legal for any game animal, but it would be fun to shoot hogs with it.

Heck ya that would be fun to hunt hogs with!! What happened to the good ol bow hunter who takes his game with just stick string and another stick sharpened ! Ha ha my buddy brought me some balloon filled pods that u put on the end of your arrow then screw on the broadhead. Very illegal but the powder under the balloon that is on the half inch plastic tube will put any hoofed animal down in 5 secs no matter where you hit it Just has to get in muscle or blood stream works great with hogs Tuff son b*^#%*#!!!

It'd be great for hogs, maybe even coyotes! I guess you could load up/find a dummy .357 or .38spl round for practice. Wouldn't be too difficult. I just went to their sight and I don't think they're on the market yet.
