I have difficulties finding Varget Powder.... That's what iv been reading, I have yet to reload my first bullet, but the carpenters are coming this Sunday to convert our spare bedroom into a reloading room (wife's not happy about it). I'm just trying to stock up on supplys and waiting for the rest of my equipment to come in.

i saw some primers on the internet list sale site for 75.00 a box of 1000.
i was still laughing about that today when i bought a box for regular price at the retail store.
i didn't look to see if they had any varget though. . . .

I love pictures of a first time set up as everything is so neat and orderly. Looks great!!
I will NOT take a current pic of mine as I can't actually SEE the bench top thru all the stuff on it. Shameful on my part to say the least.

Glad I'm not the only one with a messy bench. The only thing that is nicely organized is the powder, primer and bullet shelf.

Too neat. Throw a couple of coons in for the night, let them turn it into a real room. Wish I had taken photos before I lubed my first bullet. Molly Maids could not clean mine.

Cabelas Ft Worth had CCI small rifle primers in stock. Loaded up on some Federal 215 primers myself.

Love me some 4895.
Good score. I picked up some Hogden H4895 at Cabela's in Allen last weekend. No IMR4895 in stock there, however.

I will NOT take a current pic of mine as I can't actually SEE the bench top thru all the stuff on it. Sounds like my knife making shop.

Russ- They are similar, but not the same burn rate. You should NOT interchange them. Here is a smokeless powder chart from Hodgdon, it lists powders by burn rate. http://www.hodgdon.com/burn-rate.htmlH4895 is listed as #87, IMR4895 is listed as #89 (Fastest burn rate being #1, all subsequent powders being slower sequentially). H4895 is two positions faster than IMR4895 burn rate wise. Very similar, but not equal or interchangeable.

Which gun shop did you find it at?
