Anyone know the 2008 North Zone dates for dove? Trying to plan my fall.

Seems like they would make it start August 30 so that we can hunt Labor Day weekend...

Dove for the north zone always starts September 1st regardless of the day of the week. Would be nice to get that week-end in, but I've never seen 'em do it that way. It is opening on Labor day (Monday) so MOST everyone will be off anway.

The Migratory Bird Treaty Act will not allow any migratory birds to be taken prior to September 1st in any state. This is a federal regulation since the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service regulates all migratory birds, seasons, bag limits and dates.
