From personal experience, I have cuddebacs, moultree's and bushnells. Bushnells hands down. All of mine truly make it a year without a battery change. I have the 8MP IR models (without the viewing screen).

All I've used is moultrie and primos and I have absolutely no complaints about the primos truth cam as far as battery life and durability... Both of them survived a wild fire lol plus they're simple to set up and use

Purchase a Primos #46 or #60 and put it with a feeder battery and solar charger and you can leave it out all year and never have to worry about the batteries again.

Bushnell Trophy Cam. 8 AA batteries will last you all year long and picture quality is excellent. I just bought 3 more of them.

Primos 35 Truth Cams I have get way over 10,000 pics on a set of 4 D cell batteries. I have not run them any lower than 60% battery life also so I really don't know how many pics they will take.

Uway 562 if not set in send text mode will last a year with over 15k pictures taken. Of course that is 12 AA Lithium batteries.

Spypoint Ir-5. I get six months out of the batteries but they take approx 12-15k pic in that time frame.

I've tried several brands and Simmons is the best all around camera with great battery life AdvTX, I have a couple of Tascos which I believe own or are owned by Simmmons and look almost identical, very compact like a Bushnell and take 4 AAs. I seem to be able to get 4-6 months of batttery life off non-Alkaline batteries and the clarity of pictures is actually pretty good. The IR is somewhat limited in field though compared to higher brands but not horrible. How are the Simmons' pictures in terms of field of view/clarity? I'm curious..

I absolutely love these cameras after throwing away some moultries, stealth cams, and primos. Have had my 3 spypoints for 3 years, after going through cameras almost yearly for 7 years, they are the best I have ever had super easy on battery life too. They are the only cameras I can ever say I felt I got my money out of and more.

We have 8 hunters using different cams and I think the Simmons model 119422C out performs all of them and it's not even close as far as picture quality and battery life it's the only TC I've used that I know every time I go it will have worked perfectly.

I have a Bushnell TrophyCam that went over a year without before I had to change the eight AA batteries. I was using Energizer Lithium batteries, but they lasted well over a year. It will also function on just four batteries, but not for as long, of course!

Primos is pretty good IMO. The colder weather seems to to drain them a bit more but I change my 4 D-cell batteries twice a year.

Best place to buy bushnell trophy cam. Also what model is the best. Don't care about inside screen or anything like that. Cheaper the better..
