I have a land owner that typically shoots all the ducks but there is a small pond with some duck on it. I don't think he has seen them. I don't have a shotgun but I do have some 22 shot that I could put in an old 22 single shot I have.
Never shot ducks before but do you think that would work?
There is some brush so, I am sure I could sneak up on them for a good close shot.

You'd probably do better with a .410.

22 shot shells. That should work right?

It won't kill a duck even if its legal. When I was younger I would sneak into the building we kept feed in with a 22 revolver and shoot mice with it. Out past about 10 foot it wouldn't kill the mice.

Yea, you should film it and then put it all over the Internet.

Not legal due to the lead and I would still be wary of the fact that it is, technically, a rifle. Besides, as already said it wouldn't kill them anyways at any distance. Borrow a shotgun or if really adventurous take a bow and a few arrows laugh

22's and water are a bad combination. Water will deflect 22 bullets very easily and they will go out and find other things other than your intended target a mile away. Don't ask me how I know this.......and in case you haven't figured it out yet this would be highly illegal....

So I gather the lead shot might not be legal.

How about reloading the shot shell with some non-lead shot?

I was not thinking of shooting them in the air. Was thinking o sneaking up on them and bust a couple while they are on the water.

I figured that much. You won't get close enough to break through their skin let alone kill one. But if you think you can sneak up and get the muzzle within 3 feet of their head then go right ahead.

I wouldn't bother trying to "reload" the 22 shells. If a GW sees you trying to kill ducks with rat shot he will probably be laughing to hard to write a ticket.
