I have a land owner that typically shoots all the ducks but there is a small pond with some duck on it. I don't think he has seen them. I don't have a shotgun but I do have some 22 shot that I could put in an old 22 single shot I have. Never shot ducks before but do you think that would work? There is some brush so, I am sure I could sneak up on them for a good close shot.

You'd probably do better with a .410.

22 shot shells. That should work right?

It is a single shot... Have to load one at a time.

It won't kill a duck even if its legal. When I was younger I would sneak into the building we kept feed in with a 22 revolver and shoot mice with it. Out past about 10 foot it wouldn't kill the mice.

Not legal due to the lead and I would still be wary of the fact that it is, technically, a rifle. Besides, as already said it wouldn't kill them anyways at any distance. Borrow a shotgun or if really adventurous take a bow and a few arrows

22's and water are a bad combination. Water will deflect 22 bullets very easily and they will go out and find other things other than your intended target a mile away. Don't ask me how I know this.......and in case you haven't figured it out yet this would be highly illegal....

So I gather the lead shot might not be legal.
How about reloading the shot shell with some non-lead shot?

You won't get close enough to break through their skin let alone kill one. But if you think you can sneak up and get the muzzle within 3 feet of their head then go right ahead. I wouldn't bother trying to "reload" the 22 shells. If a GW sees you trying to kill ducks with rat shot he will probably be laughing to hard to write a ticket.

Not sure if your serious or trolling us....... Hes talking about reloading 22 shot shells. Its a joke, a rib, a work, a pro wrestling match, a south park episode...
