My local buyer dropped the per head trapping bonus 11/30. Then they shut down buying in mid December and said they would resume after Christmas. They are still not buying and I can't get an answer as to when they will start. Anybody else's buyers shut down?

I'm am trying to understand. Do you have a buyer for feral hogs. Please explain. Because if you do, I would like to contribute as I don't like to waste meat and would not allow anybody to just go out and hunt my land. Thanks

They feed them out and send to a processor. Most of the meat goes overseas. If you want to do it yourself, you have to get set up with a buyer. http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/u...Buyi#Post310721

Last week I posted the same problem around Robertson County. Our guys said the overseas market has changed from pork to kangaroo. Don't know how true it is but we closed all our traps but 1. Our buyers say they don't know when or if they'll start taking hogs again.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
