Hearing reports big numbers of ducks. I don't believe them.
Anyone scout/ hunt area/ sloughs or ponds near lake?
Your input is appreciated

Put in at 315 and go set up in the stumps. They pour in by the 100's

I too hunted there today and it was easy pickens. Really just depends on what kind birds you want to shoot and what kind of hunting situation you like. If you like flooded timber head for the upper end and hammer the green. If its the mixed bag you are looking for the find some freshly flooded millet and hunker down and pick out the drakes. And if its divers that tickle your fancy, than just pick a main lake point and commence to to shoot'n.
Any way you slice it, lake P is on fire right now.
"I just assume kill em as eat em...but after this little shoot, I would have my doubts about that."

I really hope your comment was meant with sarcasm instead of gratitude. In case you dont get it, they are jacking with you. Nobody will give you an accurate report on a public lake you are wanting to hunt (which they also hunt) in the middle of duck season.
Ducks are on every lake, it's just all about scouting and being there when the ducks are there.

It was.....actually hunting a slough nearby- private land. Should have been more specific- not much on migration reports- I wouldn't hunt a public lake if you paid me.
My comment on lots of Bubbas on public water was not in sarcasm......if ya know what I mean.......I was trying to help out a buddy with an area report. Could care less about everyone's honey holes. Not interested.

Everybody on here would love to have an exact report for their body of water, either private or public. Fact is that you can trust only one report, the one you generate by scouting your water body. I live two hours from where I do most of my hunting, so scouting is not something I get to do much. I have to rely on weather patterns and sometimes luck of the draw.
If you mention a public lake in a report or a request, you are sure to draw the ire of the masses. Let your pictures do the talking and avoid names. Hope your hunt was good.

We had a 7 man limit on the north south side of the lake right in the middle. We had to use 4 pound sinkers though
