Good deal guys. Grab a bite to eat on your way down to Stockdale so your stomach's won't scare away the hogs, -and try to be there from 6 to 6:30. Looks like it is just going to be the 5 of you, Mr. Cook may join up as well as TexasTransplant. Please plan on staying as late, or all night if you can as we have been seeing hogs at all times of the night...especially after the dew sets in at 3-4am...and I want everyone to get 2 hogs if they can and have a great time. Thanks again to everyone! If there are any others that want to jump in at the last min please let me know, you are welcome to come on! Please give me a call if you plan on joining us or if anybody has any other questions incase I don't get back to the computer in time to answer emails etc. Thanks... AB

Well ya’ll were back. We did not see any thing all night (6pm-7am). Weather was good some clouds off & on. we never got any rain but it did rain all around us (made for a nice light show). & it did rain the night before the hunt. Alex was not able to meet with us so he had the guys that work for him meet up with us and take us to our hunting spots. The spot that my son and i were at looked to be a good spot. Tracks all over but it turned out not to be that grate last night. From what i hear the spot that txgunrunner and his kid were at was the place to be or at least the place to see hogs. Pigsnipper ended walking over to our spot and spent most of the night with us because of the lightning and rain (he was sitting out in the open). The guys that were there to help with the hunt were really nice and very thoughtful in making sure we were ok or if we wanted to move to a different spot (I passed in hopes of seeing a hog in our already set up spot). I’m not sure of what happened with our perfect hunt (rain the night before, super bright moon & a very cool temp weather) but for some reason the hogs were not around. But from what I seen with tracks there. There. Any how I want to say thanks to txgunrunner his son , pigsnipper & my son 3pointer for going on this adventure. Wish we would of seen some hogs but that’s hunting. Oh also want to say thanks to AB outfitters and the good group of guys that help run the hunts. ( let me say one more thing. I have been on more then few paid hog hunts here lately (with no kills on any of them) and I would have to say the guys last night were way nicer then most I have delt with)

Thats a long hunt to not see them. Did you see many deer during the night?
You never know with those pigs. I prefer to have a trail cam checked before I go. It's cheating but I'm getting older and lazy LOL.
There are a few good high fenced hog hunts with high sucess rates that are not too far away. Thats sort of cheating also but would be fun to get a group hunt on one of those. Or a Javi hunt sometime.
Good to see you had a good time.

I like your way of doing things. that would at least make the fuel cost easyer to pay.

Thats a sweet deal. It will give Ab Joint Outfitters a lot of credit. At least in my mind. I hope they slay the hogs this next time, then AB J.O. will be booked solid.
Good luck guys and be sure to post when your going. I am super busy but with a lot of luck I may be able to go. Jan/Feb/March are much better months for me... I will most likely have to have fun listening to your stories until then.

It looks like the 2nd week of Sept would work for us. I am sorry if my replies are slow, I am in bfe and the internet is super slow. Let me know guys... lots of hogs need to be eaten by you!

7pointbuck, DON'T SWEAT IT, DUDE. I am working on a sure-fire deal with a guy that has property out off of Hwy 20 or 21. NO Pay. All we have to do is bust him a few pigs, too. I will talk with him tomorrow. I will call you, bro.I am done paying for bogus trips, also.I will just sit on here and watch weveryone else hog hunt. I am so burnt out on deer, I may not even go to my spot this year. I went out today and saw several HUGE bucks. But I don't care about how many pionts are there, I only want the meat (as long as they are legal). I will call you.

If you have room for one more I'd like to tag along and meet a couple members who live close by.
I'm a bowhunter but also have a .270 which I would use because I'm very hungry for pigs.
I know a guy who sells pigs in Burnet. Sometimes he gets too many and gives them away. PM me if you may want some. I take a couple now and then because I can not find a place to shoot them.
