I talked (e-mailed a few times) to Alex Beasley (AB Joint Outfitters) they offer hog hunts down south near SA. he is a member of THF and told me he would give us a price brake on hunts ($100.00 a hunt and i do believe that’s for 1 or 4 hogs a person) please correct me if I’m wrong. Any how i wanted to see if there any guys/girls that want to get together and head south for a hunt. if so lets try and get a group and head down and shot some hogs. Oh he told me that night hunts are when you see hogs.

Guys.. come on down, we are seeing lots of hogs right now. Most of the farmers are combining their fields and there is a lot of grain on the ground that the hogs are coming in to eat.

As far as weekend dates go... I have the 1st and 3rd weekend of Aug available at this time. If we can get a few people confirmed then I will block out the weekend and hold the date for just the THF Group.

I could swing the third weekend, but not the first...teaching Hunter Education that weekend.

My son and I have been wanting to try hog hunting, neither of us have ever hunted hogs!!! Count us in on either the 1st or 3rd weekend! Just shoot me a PM when it's definite.

I normally hang out at Texasboars.com but this also looks like a cool forum. I really hope you can get a hunt together an I hope you will keep us in mind in the future! Thanks again!

This is for a weekend hunt?? or is the $100 per night??

This would be for an evening/night hunt for unlimited hogs at $100 a person. Probably we will stage people at several different farms in the corners of the corn fields to try and catch hogs going into the corn to feed, or at the major trails where they move in each night. Some of these trails look almost like cow paths that lead under the fences. As well we can put people around water holes where the hogs come in to wallow and drink each night. By the 3rd weekend we will have a good moon up, although I need to check on the moon rise time, and in most locations you can set up within about 40yards of the major trails after it gets dark and easily see hogs to shoot with most scopes. Spotlights/varmit or hog lights work well also. This can be done with eithe gun or bow, we have locations that work for both.

The dates for the 3rd weekend are the 16th and the 17th.

Dustin:: Carl said that you guys were over there and I tried to come by a few times to say hello and meet you guys, but I just had bad timing and missed you evey time that I got to come by. Shoot me a pm some time or give me a call when you get a chance. I have some things to run by you and I always like to meet the other guys that run hunts!

Fantastic guys. From Cabelas it is an easy drive...Maybe an hour and fiften min. You go south to San Marcos, exit HW 123 South, go 20 miles to Seguin stay on 123 another 20 miles and you hit stockdale.
