I don't want to buy just anything. My budget for my duck-hunting rig is only $60,000, so I want to make sure I get the right vehicle for my money.

Oh man, sorry. That was a typo. My budget is $70,000 (I hit the 6 button by mistake), so I should be able to get something decent, I guess.

I still don't know what would be the best vehicle to get though. I'm pretty frugal, so I don't want to waste what little money I have for my hunting rig.

No thanks. I'd prefer something without the racist rebel/confederate theme.

I'd say he's never been off road or never driven on a deer lease after it rains!

After doing more research, I am beginning to lean that way. There's a thread on here where a guy who seems to be a big-time duck hunter swears by his Subaru Forester. He says he's never been stuck.

I guess the rig I like for private land hunting the most is the one that belongs to Cappy. That Jeep Wrangler rigged out with dog crates and other duck hunting goodies and the ability it has over a four wheeler or SXS to go places, especially muddy ones. For the public thing I guess any thing that could tow a boat comfortably and haul gear enclosed so it don't get stolen, so prolly some sort of SUV. Tahoes and Yukons come to mind......4X4 of course.....
