What's y'all's opinion on these guns. I've read reviews about both but just curios as to if anyone has had them and what they prefer. Thanks

I have the SBEII and for duck hunting you can't beat it.....won't cycle dove loads very well....I am not sure how well the Vinci handles the lighter shells....I would think with the inertia driven thing it should be fine...

They're not looking for one thing right....they're looking for one thing wrong.

Both are top of the line. You need to go somewhere that carries both, like BPS or somewhere.
Shoulder both of them. They are built a little different. One might fit you a little better than the other. I went with the SBE2 because it shoulder'd better on me. Better fit.

You cant go wrong with either.

They're both great guns, the SBE is more time tested obviously but I've ran a Vinci now for 3 seasons and it takes plenty of abuse.

Go with what feels better. I have a SBEII but have never even held a Super Vinci. If I had it to do over I'd base it on feel. So no one can answer this question except you.

As for the two guns you really can't go wrong with either. The Vinci has some more modern features that really make break down even easier but then again the SBEII has always been easy to break down. So the real/practical pros and cons on paper are not really big.

I know a guy who swears the best duck gun is the Cordoba. I made a comment about the Cordoba being Benelli's dove gun, named after Cordoba, Argentina. He got kind of upset, like I was telling him his gun sucked (I wasn't), and said that all the "real hunters" shoot it.

I've never shot one, so I don't know. SBEII for me.

What do you think about the Remington 870?

I think it's a great gun for beginners. After you've hunted a season or two, you should probably move up to a more serious gun. Just my opinion.

Both are good. If you don't need the 3.5's then go with the regular Vinci. Shoots 3 inch magnum Turkey loads all the way to skimpy dove loads with no problems. I too have used mine for a few years now and love it. But like marcatar said you should go up to bps or cabelas and fool with them a bit. Kinda see what you think feels good. You're liable to walk out with a totally different gun than you thought you'd get like a Browning or Beretta or maybe even a sx3.

OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!
