Need a little help. There are several hundred cranes in a wheat field for the last week or so.

What's the best way to go after them? We have layouts but no crane decoys or anything. I know stuffers are the best but I don't have any or access to any. Will they come into a goose spread? Thought about buying some socks.

Buy some winds sock and cover up good and you should be fine. Where they are in the field the evening before if where you should set up.

Really ought to have Crane decoys whether its stuffers or socks or what. Also hide good! They can be impossible to decoy if you do a lackluster job of disappearing. Good luck.

OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!

Same offer I made on the thread about the geese. Your not far from me if it is Wise county. If you get a day when your seeing a good flight and want to try some decoys the next morning, shoot me a pm the afternoon before. I have pretty full hunting plans rest of season, but if I am not working the next day and not already hunting someplace else, I can show the next morning with with 50 mixed crane decoys, and can bring bring a few canada higdon motion shells for confidence decoys. I also have two blanket blinds that are very low profile.
