I have an English Setter that I have had since he was a pup. I was single at the time and had visions of running some setters after some quail. I am married now with two kids and the third on the way. I just don't have time for the dog anymore. He is a very sweet dog and would make a great pet. He was worked with minimally when he was young but I don't know how he would hunt now. He does like to run and it would be best for him to go to a home with a large fenced in yard. He just turned 8 years old. His parents were both AKC registered with great blood lines. I could try to dig up the pedigrees if someone was interested. I can get pictures if anyone is interested. I am just throwing this out there to see if anyone has any interest.

If I didn't live on the other end of the state I'd take him. We have a GSP we have to kennel bc hes only 2 and spastic, so our bloodhound could use someone slower to play with. Good luck!

Contact the breeder. If you can't find a home they should take him back and rehome him.

Most reputable breeders do.

Good Luck and I'm sorry...

Texican..PM responded to. The breeder wasn't really a breeder. He runs setters and two of them happened to breed so he was selling some of the pups. I will keep him if no one wants him. He is a sweet dog. I just wish he had more opportunity to play with other dogs/kids. He is a runner and still has a lot of energy. You can't tell that he is as old as he is.

Also, this dog is deathly afraid of thunderstorms. He will let you know 6 hours in advance if any bad weather is coming.
