Low enough for a fawn to eat and high enough for a buck to eat. That will depend on how big your are on average in your area.

For adult deer it is a bit low. I would say around 30" or bit higher. Your deer are going to be larger bodied on average also. Most feeders sold are in the 36-38" range and IMO that is just a bit to high for a deer to eat easily from. They can eat at that height but some really have to stretch to eat.

All of ours range from 36-38 being the best height that it is hard for most pigs to reach and varmints. Your fawns can reach them at 6 months as well. We do make them lower from time to time for special request at no additional charge.

I was wondering the same. Building one for Llano Co. (small deer). Not really worried about the fawns as they normally don't jump in the pen anyway. But do want the yearling does to reach it. I'm thinking 34" at this point.

Yes it can as it can be to tall. Can it be to low for the bucks to reach it? I have more pics on another computer with fawns in pens in Sept. These are from early Oct. this past year. I was wondering the same. Building one for Llano Co. (small deer). Not really worried about the fawns as they normally don't jump in the pen anyway. But do want the yearling does to reach it. I'm thinking 34" at this point. This feeder was at 36"+ and I dug the legs down so that it is now at around 30-32". That is a fawn on this side going to eat at the feeder.

Nope, 34" hog panels. They can jump in but generally they don't, prefer to walk the perimeter. Finished my build Friday, built the outlet at 35".
