My son took out a first time hunter yesterday evening (mathew) 8yrs old and ready to help his dad fill the freezer. A large spike came out at alittle after 5pm and Mathew put the smack down on his first buck with Cody's 270. I have never seen a father and son have such a bonding experience. Pictures soon to follow! That's why we do what we do.

I hunted this morning with John doing the doe/cull hunt. I got a nice spike, and saw a lot of deer including a big 10 pointer that will probably go 150. Some lucky trophy hunter will probably get that one soon.
Had a great time John and look forward to doing it again soon.

My brother & I just got back from a great hunt and time spent with John & Cody. They were fantastic, took care of every need we had, got us all over the deer, and by the end of the trip, not only had we taken 4 deer - but we made a couple new friends as well. We couldn't have had a better time. I just got home an hour or so ago - so I'm tired, lol and I'll save the longer story for tomorrow. But here are few pics of our trip.
I got a big 8 point and a nice spike buck and my brother got a nice management 7 point and an axis buck.
To say Cody knows how to skin & quarter a deer, well you've got to see it to believe it! We have enough meat to last quite a while!
We couldn't more highly reccommend these 2 gentelmen.

I am glad you had a good time Terry, I was very happy you brought your brother Paul we talked old muscle cars the whole time while in the blind. I had to stop our conversation in mid stride Saturday morning to make time for Paul to take his 7pt cull buck.

We had a great weekend, my son Cody put an 8yr old boy and his father both on nice Trophy bucks. They headed back to Louisiana yesterday afternoon with coolers full of venison and their Trophys displayed in a tasteful manner for all to see. I will try and have pictures posted soon. I would like to thank all THF members that have hunted with us so far this season, you have made it very enjoyable for my son and I.

It is a true blessing that the tradition of hunting continues to be passed on to our young ones! Cherish the moments for the child becomes an adult very quick. I have hunted with my son Cody since he was just 6yrs old and killed his first buck with stxranchman and now he is 17 and fixing to go off to college.

Took my buddy Shay out to do a doe hunt with John this morning. It was a bit on the chilly side, but the deer didn't seem to mind. We each had our does by 8am. Thanks John for another great hunt, and I'll get you out there fishing with me when your deer season is over!
