that is great, you will really be hooked now!  I shot my first buck about 4 years ago, it just gets crazy from there with leases, buying land, outfitters, and then getting into muzzle/archery too.  congrats on the mature buck!

Good dude and specially congragulation to your first deer hunt..dude chunting is the name of patience and a good hunter is those whose have lot of patience and huge heart for the hunt and also mfor the patience..but you are doing good job for the first time and i really appreciate your hunting deer...

Sounds like a lil buck fever along the way when the ear plugs get caught on the shirt! Something like that happens every time the big guy rolls in. Next you'll be dreaming that your gun doesnt have a trigger or the scope is on backwards! Congrats on the first deer. A bigger "first" buck than a lot of us can say.

Great buck and welcome to the fraternity! Cherish that moment forever. I remember when my oldest son got his first buck at 12 years of age. Keep the fire burning, hunting memories will be some of the most memorable of your life. Ironically, I lost my son and one of the best hunters I ever met at age 26 to cancer. I'm proud for you and of you.

Congratulations on an excellent deer. I can tell after over 50 years of hunting you should consider yourself very lucky as I only harvested one or 2 deer with a comparable rack. Wish you many more rewarding days in the field.

Thanks everyone with this cold front coming through I'll be in the stand first thing. Hopefully the big one is on the property today and not off wondering. Its a low fence place so the deer can move as they please
