I did this javvy for a buddy of mine.It was his first.Anyway,It came out real nice accept for the bottom jaws and right on the end of the nose.
Someone please help...How do I get these areas to turn white?It feels like its "waxier" in the tan areas and bone dry in the white areas.

that waxy feeling is fat that has melted into the bone while you boiled or simmered it. Did you degrease the skull?? If not you should get some ammonia or heavy duty dawn degreaser and mix with water and soak the skull for at least a few days. You will start to see the "grease" on top of the water. Once you have degreased you can re-whiten and it should come out a lot whiter.
I recommend whitening with basic white powder mixed with 30% peroxide. Both can be found at Sallys beauty supply. Mix into a paste and smear on. Wrap with ceran wrap and leave on 12 to 24 hours. Rinse and dry.

DEGREASE LIKE HE SAID AND USE 40 PERCENT PEROXIDE FOUND AT BEAUTY SUPPLY ,I WOULD BUY THE PASTE INSTEAD OF LIQUID

Or mix with the basic white powder into a paste to make an even more powerful whitener than just the peroxide paste alone.

I took your advice and it has been sitting in heavy Dawn soap and water for a week now.Imma pull it out tomorrow and re-whiten it!It must be working cause I for sure see some fatty greasy stuff a floatin !
I will post pics update pics here when I'm done.

It also helps if you change the water about every other day. You also want to leave it in there until you don't see the grease on top. If you have a fish tank or stock tank heater you can use that will speed the process.
