Hello, hoping I can get some feedback.

My son who is 8 wants a new bow for Christmas. He's got a cheap one so I've been looking around and am really trying to to find a good one he will be excited to shoot, but not break the bank.

Anyone have suggestions? I found a Diamnond Atomic for ($189) and got a recomendation for a PSE MiniBurner ($279). Anyone have experience with these or similar bows. I don't want a toy, but am having a hard time justifying these two price points.

I bought a Tiger Martin Bow for about $70. Better than a toy, draw strength is adjustable but not near as nice as the Diamond Atomic. I figured I would see if my daughter really likes shooting with me for a few years on the Martin before I step up to something more serious. Good bow for 6 - 12 year olds I would say. Can change from 10lbs to 15 or 20 lbs. Has 40% let off.
When she gets tired of it or out grows it I will probably sell for $45 or so.

If you dont mind spending $200 I would go with the Atomic. Read great reviews and my friend's son has one and loves it. Light, adjustible and flexible. That would be my next choice. And you can sell them easily.

Go with the Diamond Infinite edge. It will run you about 350-375. It will be the only bow he will need til he is 18. It goes from 5-70# Hands down the best deal on the market. and it comes with a rest, site, quiver, stabilizer, d,loop, wrap.

Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like I'm going to go with the Atomic based on reviews, price and flexibility. Well see if Santa did well soon enough.

My daughter shoots a Bear Apprentice and loves it. It comes with the ready to hunt pkg and is extremely adjustable. Can get one for around $250.

All ready

My friends kid shoots a Genesis and it is an awesome bow that kids can grow with. The draw length goes from 15-30 and you can get them in all different colors and even camo. I am pretty sure they also have different weights too. Single cam too. My buddies kid shoots aluminum arrows for kid size through it with field points and it is dead accurate. You can buy one for $179.00 too. You can pick one up at Cabela's for cheaper than Bass Pro but the kits are the same price at both stores.

arrows.

They also sell arrows called jazz arrows that are aluminum and are a redish purple color.
