Ok, i'm hunting on a MLD property and there are no buck tags left. While I've got plenty of buck pics on my trail cam, I've got no does.
Well, this evening I was out and got to see 4 does come out on another trail 50 to 75 yards away.
Should I move forward and in bow range?
Based on the pics I have from my trail cam, from Oct 30 to present, all I've had pass in front of the stand are bucks. Yet this evening I found where the does are using this other trail, which hugs a tree line.
My natural desire is to find a set up within range, however, two of my friends think I need to keep set where I am.

put a popup or hang a stand inside the treeline. 9 times out of 10 you're not going to fool an old wary doe into coming to you.

lol ya know how it goes...as soon as ya move over there they will walk right by where ya are now. and dont believe they hype. i walked up on 3 does...wait for the heads to drop and move like a ninja (lol) til they look up...i had em walking up to me 10 yards and stomping and hissin at me... i aint gonna lie, i was scared she was fixing to beat me up. i sat still (actually i was probably shaking like crazy but i thought i was sittin still), very hard when you just had 3 adrenaline rushes in a row.. and they proceeded on. when she turned away, they all did, she was behind the pack and i drew my range finder and found the 20 yard spot by a log...pulled the bow up and drew it.. right before the log i wheezed her and she turned broadside..i hit the release and i landed the shot. she went 20 yards...most of it back legs pushing her down the hill. camo up and blend in and you can sneak up on em...semi-dry creek beds are an awesome hunter highway.

I agree..i stalk deer too. not real hard to get close to them when they are grazing. they are working the ground to find dinner..once they feel safe they will put their head down, that's when its time to move. 3 together like half had is a lil tougher..i know the stomping and hissing you speak of...and 3 adrenaline rushes is about right. lol
