Combo of rattling and grunt call. Worked for the last 25 yrs for me. Agree...although I do not rattle quite as aggressive as during the rut. Every now and then, I'll carry and use the smaller "doe in a can" with me too.
You can only have too much ammo if you are on fire or swimming....
