 Got us a poacher on our land.

I deer hunt a small (very small) (30 acres) tract of land that the father-in-law owns. We have done a lot of work to it, trying to make it so that the deer want to be on his land instead of the neighbors. So, I’m out checking/filling the feeder and off in the distance, something just doesn’t look right. I walk on over and someone has tried to hide (not very well) a trail camera. I go up and ask the in-laws if they put up a new camera. They all looked at me like I was nuts. So I walked on back and pulled it off the tree, and checked the SD card hoping that the culprit had taken a picture of himself. The only pictures of people on there are of me walking up to the camera. I had always thought someone had been hunting our land. I would find makeshift blinds made of sticks and brush. But it never really clicked until now. So now I have myself a new camera. And to make sure he doesn’t jack with our stuff we steel cabled and padlocked all of our stuff. We have now hidden a few cameras on possible entry points on to our land. Let’s hope we catch this SOB.
We interrupt this marriage for hunting season.

Take his SD card out, fill it with porn and other objectionable material, and put it back in his camera.

I would've left the camera, taken out the card, and put up secret cameras on the poachers an wait for him to come back and check it.

Did you put up a camera at the location where his camera was? Would think this is the one spot that you know he will return too...

There are free software programs where you can look at SD cards and see deleted photos. I would check that.

Did you put up a camera at the location where his camera was? Would think this is the one spot that you know he will return too... Sure did. I did asked the neighbors about it, and they all denied all knowledge. I hope I didnt tip off the culprit that way. I have a feeling I did though

i would have left the camera with a new card and then dropped tro and made a scrape for them to see. know your on to them and offended winwin

I would've left the camera, taken out the card, and put up secret cameras on the poachers an wait for him to come back and check it. He'll probably come back to check it whether he left the camera or not.

Blackout Infrared Cameras are your friend - that way he doesn't see the red glow of the trail cam at night.

I own a couple of hundred acres outside of Jacksonville and I have had people come on my property and check/delte pictures off my cameras and probably hunt on my property as well. I have gotten sneaky and put out hidden IR cameras but I have not caught anyone yet. Really pisses me off so I hope you get some pics of the turd on your property!
