Gold Tip arrows have been very good to me. Don't have the chart infront of me, so I am not sure of the right size for you.

I shoot the Gold Tip XT's. For your draw and weight you need a 75 95.

Wes, what could you do a half dozen of those for?

Got some of them Cabelas carbon express as well. 50$ for a dozen on sale. Had one break on a pig though. Something about a broadside shot at 7yds probably did that though!

Another reasonable arrow would be the Easton epic st's.
I have the same draw length and im shooting the 300's.
I think the are all pretty good in the carbon line up. Just depends on your checkbook mostly.

Dont skimp on the arrows you buy. It can make a differance in getting the big one or not. It also has alot to do with your safety as well.

Why put all that money into your bow and then buy the cheapest arrows you can find. Your arrows is just as important as any thing eles you use to hunt. Cheap is just that cheap and unreliable. Look at it this way are you going to go out and Buy a brand new Glock and run a box of the cheapest ammo you can find threw it or are you going to spend a little extra and make sure it works at it peak performance. I am not saying get the most expensive arrow out there but be sure you do your research and buy the best you can.

Actually i wasn't doubting you. I was asking what quality does a more expensive arrow have over a cheaper one? "It can make a difference in getting the big one or not. It also has alot to do with your safety as well. "

I shoot 2 different arrows.

Out of my Switchback and Switchback XT I shoot the Carbon Express Maxima hunters. They have preformed flawlessly for me. I have had none that have broken after being shot into animals or targets. Only thing I don't like about them is that they are tougher to pull out of a 3-D target.

Out of my Legacy, I shoot the Gold Tip Pro Hunter 75/95's. I have had a couple break after being shot into a hog. but other than that I have zero complaints.

Everything else that I shoot carbon arrows out of (I still have 2 bows that I shoot aluminum arrows out of) I shoot the Gold Tip Expedition hunters out of. They are not bad arrows but I tend to break a few of them.

My wife shoots the Gold Tip XT hunter 35/55's, but as soon as she has shot is ready for new arrows she is going to go with the Easton Axis 400's.

You can't go wrong with either the Carbon Epress maxima Hunters or the Gold Tip Pro Hunters. Both are good arrows. I shot Eastons for years and they worked great as well. I like their NANO line of arrows.

Ok well I look at it this way and these are my feelings not everyones. The higher end arrows like the ones HunterTed spoke about will have more time put into them thatn the cheaper ones. More or less if you want a High end sports car you go to Gremany to get the best not to one made in Ugondie(sp?) with a look alike logo slapped on it.I have shot many brands of arrow in all different price ranges and the higher end ones always seem to fly more true and break less. The breaking is the plus. Go buy 12 cheapo's $35.00 and just so happen to break most of them before season then buy 12 more and so on and so forth. Buy higher end and spen $100.00 and shoot them the same and you break less because they are made from better matterial and your actually saveing a few bucks. Arrows will break but I feel that the better arrows break less offten and fly alot better.

Please dont anyone take me wrong. Shoot what you feel is best for you. What I put out there is just my .02 worth which aint even worth that most the time . Heck I shoot a brand of bow most people out there would not be caught dead shooting by heck I like so I keep on shooting it. (Aint that right HunterTed?)

I just switched over to the Easton FMJ 400's and hav eonly shot them at targets so far. I really like the way they fly, but they are slower and do get more penetration. I still have Gold tips that i use for hogs . Do whatever works for you and your budget.

I have both the GT Exp hunters and the Maxim Hunters. GT are more reasonably price but the CE are tuffer, which doesn't really matter what you shoot when you miss and hit brick.

I would start mid priced and work you way up with skill level.
