I am staying with the bow that has two does so far this weekend and the next. Only going to pull the rifle out on my mule deer hunt, my south Texas whitetail and my panhandle whitetail hunt.

Hope to let fly on a buck this weekend.

Sticking with the bow myself. Set a goal for myself this year to take all 5 deer with my bow. Just hope the bucks will get into range.

I'm going to stick with my bow until I kill my third doe. Then I may try to shoot another spike. Hoping to get the wife on a mature buck this year.

Just to clarify, I will hunt with my rifle in Nebraska.

I will be hunting with a gun this weekend with my wife hunting with me. However, I am off all next week and probably will pick the bow back up then. Never killed a whitetail with a bow so that is kinda my goal this year. After that it all depends on if my wife is with me or not as to what I use.

I'll be sticking to the bow while in the stand and doing some walking with an open sight 32 special.

The bow is the only way to go, no substitution for the silent kill.

I only hunt with a bow. Not that I would not accept an invitation from friend or family to hunt a trophy with a borrowed rifle, but if I am heading to my regular place to hunt it will be with a bow exclusively.

I am going to bow hunt this weekend, the next as well, the third as well. Forget ducks until we get rain and more birds down. The weekend of Thanksgiving, rifle hunt in the panhandle and then back pheasant hunt, then goose hunt and then 300 mag or 7 mag in S. Texas....By then I should have the remaining three on the ground. Really hope to get a mule deer this year worthy of the wall.

I have my 2 does and I will be helping out on some deer management hunts this year. It will just depend on what they will let me hunt with. If they have a lot to take then I will hunt with my bow. If they only have a few left, I will probably have to use a rifle but I'd hope to keep using the bow.

Good luck to all the bowhunters!

Going on a doe management hunt next weekend..I will be armed with bow for 1/2 the hunts. We have to take 30 to 40 doe off this place, so I will have to use a rifle first, but rest assured on Friday...I will be letting em fly.

Not on this one...I only have 18 arrows...LOL....I am going to bowhunt at least half the time. The rest will be 22-250 and head and neck shots.

Of course this may make me bow hunt all year now, accept in S. Texas.

Good to here. Now how can you kill 130 to 160 class buck with your bow if your not bowhunting in South TX. I know its hard what if 170 come out at 100 yards.

The last part....I guess I would have to aim high....LOL.

What is the blind they make that you bury in the ground where you are eye level? I saw one on the TTH show today.....thinking I should get one and give it to my buddy in S. Texas.......I would even help dig the hole...

We do have a couple of box blinds with the shoot thru windows....I guess I could do that.

I am going on my first traditional hunt today. I should be hunting tonight and tomorrow morning. I can accurately hit the kill zone up to 17 yards. Wish me luck.

Well I am back. I only saw one small 8pt. It was fun. He was at 15 yards on public land.

It's all about the bow. last year was the first year for me to kill a deer with a rifle and it was the last. I have shot 2 does and a small 8 so far this year and I can't wait to pull the string again.
