How is the Deer hunting in that county these day's? Just Curious I have not hunted there since 2004 when our land owner J.D Burke took a higher cash offer after we had leased the 2880 acres from him for 16 years! It was a great place and we had a lot of good times. We always managed the herd and our efforts paid off for sure. My dad's Company he worked for also had a lease in Concho county. It was the Bill Noelke ranch. It was originally 5000 acres but we lost 2500 tp Lake O.H.Ivie Lake when they built it and it filled up. Do any of you guys hunt in that County and how are the deer doing? Share pics if you have them. Thanks, Brian

If I was JD Burke I would have taken a higher cash offer as well. Deer hunting is a business now a days. Maybe your worth as a lessee was overestimated on your part.

I hunt Concho County near Concho Park at Lake OH Ivie.
My neighbor shot a buck that scored 196 a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure that he shot it on my place because it is the only deer that he's killed in the past 10 years that he never had a story to tell about how he got it. There are a LOT of good bucks in the area.
Where is your place in Concho County, Brian?

Now that is what I call a delayed response... I hunt in Concho. There are some good deer in the area and a few really good deer killed every year. Last year was a good year, hoping for another good year
